Re: MLAN State of the Union revisited
That's the right approach. Acrimony leads noone to nowhere.

I have a hunch that Yamaha aren't standing still... I'll see this one out and I'm certain there's a few ace cards up their sleeves for this fall.

WOW!!

After leaving this forum for a while and biting my lip with my many Mlan/O1X problems.. I come back here and see that I'm not the only one who's upset at Yamaha.

Re: MLAN State of the Union revisited
The forum got hot last week with some XP users experiencing issues with a "random offset" bug which seems to relate to the ASIO drivers and/or Cubase specifically.

Acelera felt that he needed to revisit his open letter of requests to Yamaha regarding mLAN, highlighting the points that need consideration when releasing updates and improvements. We are a demanding user base because we like mLAN and want it to develop and grow. As you can see from my post above, I am more than willing to beta test anything Yamaha needs to have tested to speed up development. In Yamaha's defence, they DO release updates and each update HAS been an improvement over it's predecessor. 1.0.5 on OSX is markedly better than the .02b we were on last year at this time. I have no doubt that Yamaha will bring us the goods... I just want it today. ;-)

Re: MLAN State of the Union revisited
Have Yamaha ever replied or even commented on the open letter? (pre or post update?) - That would be a great start, you know, number 1 yes, number 2 no, number 3 maybe etc.

Great! I must have missed it- can you guide me to the post? I haven't seen anything from Yam on most of these very important points- I'll be a happy bunny when I know whats going on! (I believe it's called expectations management!)

Re: MLAN State of the Union revisited
Yamaha_US acknowledged the 10 original points in the old thread and addressed them with YCJ. That thread ran deep so I'd have to search for his reply. There's been other announcements/replies since but not specifically to this new thread yet (sorry about my mistake!).

Anyhow, this leaves us with the 'variable offset' thing. I'm sure Yamaha will give a reply on this one soon as well as provide an update on the original points.

Keep the faith
